มโนทัศน์เบื้องต้นเกี่ยวกับบทความเชื่อและประเพณี ความหมายและอิทธิพลของความเชื่อที่มีต่อมนุษย์ทั้งชีวทัศน์ โลกทัศน์ และพฤติกรรมของบุคคล วิเคราะห์ระบบความเชื่อและประเพณีที่ปรากฎในท้องถิ่นต่างๆ ของลาว ทั้งความเชื่อและประเพณีดั้งเดิม การปรับเปลี่ยนในสมัยต่างๆ
ศึกษาแนวทางในการพัฒนาระบบความเชื่อและประเพณีให้เหมาะสมกับยุคสมัยโดยไม่ทอดทิ้งสิ่งต่างๆที่มีค่าและปรับใช้ความเชื่อและประเพณีเพื่อพัฒนาท้องถิ่น
