หลักการสืบค้น การอ่าน การเขียน การสรุปใจความสำคัญจากบทความ เอกสารวิชาการ ตำราทางภูมิศาสตร์ หรือภูมิสารสนเทศ เพื่อพัฒนาทักษะการอ่านและเขียน การนำเอาประเด็นปัญหาทางด้านทรัพยากรธรรมชาติ สิ่งแวดล้อม เศรษฐกิจ สังคม การเมือง และวัฒนธรรม
จากมุมมองทางด้านภูมิศาสตร์ หรือภูมิสารสนเทศ โดยใช้แนวคิดที่มีความสอดคล้องกับปัญหาและมิติเชิงพื้นที่
